In the past it was common to visit the dentist twice a year for a check-up. In our practice, our dental hygienists and preventive dental assistants have been trained to identify various dental problems such as gum disease and tooth decay. All check ups are done routinely by the hygienist, preventive assistant, or dentist and the outcome of the check ups are client specific.

This means that each client has different needs and recall schedules based on their clinical findings. All decisions regarding the treatments for clients are always done with the consultation of the dentist.

Please note that we do not send reminder cards for recall appointments.

There is an option to have a combined appointment with the dentist and dental hygienist, or preventive assistant.   Unfortunately  a check up by the dentist cannot always be guaranteed at the same appointment with the hygienist or preventive assistant. However we will try our best to make appointment scheduling as convenient as possible for our patients.

Combination Appointment scheduling with the dentist are possible on the following days:

Monday 08:30 – 17:00 & 17:30 – 20:30
Tuesday 08:30 – 17:00 & 17:30 – 20:30
Wednesday 08:30 – 17:00
Thursday 08:30 – 17:00
Friday 08:30 – 16:00
Sunday 09:30 – 17:00

As health care practitioners and for you as a patient, it is important that we are made aware of illnesses, ailments, and diseases both past and present.  Any medications taken should be made known to us.  These factors have effects in the mouth and can affect the oral cavity.  At times, depending on the medical history of the patient, other precautions need to be considered before treatment can begin.  On the basis of your completed health questionnaire it will help us take into consideration your overall health needs in relation to your planned treatment.

All children are welcome in our practice. In our experience, the earlier the better. This helps the child become accustomed to the sight and smells of the dental office early on and can also help in reducing any anxiety associated with dentists later on in life.

From the age of 3 a child can be treated in our office and will be part of our preventive program with one of our preventive assistants who are specially trained to treat children.

There has been an increase in the prevalence of caries (cavities) in primary teeth (usually applies to children under the age of 5 before any presence of permanent teeth)  According to statistics, 56% of children in The Netherlands have an average of 8 cavities by the age of five.  (Source ACTA)
